What age is DEX for?
Ages 3 to 8. It's sized for small hands, and you can set the level from beginner to advanced. On advanced, DEX speaks only in the language you chose.
Which languages can my child learn?
English, Arabic, Cantonese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese, plus 30+ dialects. All are free. One language is active at a time and you can switch whenever you like.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The free plan gives unlimited camera use on Wi-Fi. Premium adds learning outdoors over 4G and unlimited personalised activities. You can cancel any time by emailing Dex support.
Does it ship to Ireland?
Not yet. Dex ships to the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and New Zealand, and you can register interest with Dex for other countries.
How long does delivery take, and are there duties?
Most orders leave California within 2–3 business days. Duties and import charges for the UK and Europe are paid by the buyer.
What if we don't like it?
You have 90 days to return it in good working order with all accessories. Refunds go back to your card in 7–10 business days; original shipping isn't refunded. If it arrives damaged, Dex replaces or repairs it free within 7 days of delivery.
Is my child's data safe?
Dex says it is COPPA-compliant, keeps zero data (no photos or voice recordings stored), never uses data for marketing and filters inappropriate content.
